Many of these burial grounds are under threat of clear cutting and development as the population in these areas is increasing. Many landowners have contacted us and are working with us, but many are still hesitant to allow state archaeologist to start and complete investigations which would register the property as a Native American burial site and protect the site forever.
OUR GOAL
These lands are rapidly disappearing. We're changing that!
First Let'sDiscover
Many burial grounds that have been forgotten over the years, or having never been discovered, are being rediscovered by area residents by sharing old stories and legends, or by land owners discovering them on their own.

Now let's WORKConserve
With your help, we can secure these lands and protect them for centuries to come, while also conserving the area wildlife as the property will double as a wildlife preserve.
Many times, property must undergo cleanup to remove trash and dumpsites. |
IT'S UP TO USChange
Through education and your financial support, we can help to create the change that is needed. Many of these sites will be used as educational tools to promote conservation, whether it be plant and wildlife, or remembering and honoring those who came before us.
